Finding Neverland

I will begin by saying that Johnny Depp is an artist in every sense of the word. He chooses his movie roles with intelligence always looking for innovative, and challenging characters. And this movie ofcourse wasn't the exception. The movie was very well made, with a lot of hidden symbology, for us to try to find and decipher. An also very cool thing is how the director takes a lot of focus in the creating process of the play, and how you can see how J.M. Barrie uses his imagination, in real life situations, and you see the world through Barrie's eyes.

The connection between Depp and child prodigy Freddie Highmore is stunning. The dialog they have at the end made a knot in my throat, and gave me a really cool message. I guess there are 2 ways in which you can see the film:

A negative: Where you realize that things rarely turn out like you want them too. And that life is about losing. For every connection that you make in your life, they will end. Because nothing lasts forever.

A positive side: Believing. And the power of the imagination. Believing and having hope that life isn't that bad.
